"The Core focuses on the postural changes in your body during pregnancy and the exercises that will help your body comfortably adjust and thrive during its 40 week (plus) marathon.”  Our prenatal progam helps in the following ways:

1. Reduced risk of developing gestational diabetes (especially in women with a body mass index –BMI- greater than 33)
2. Reduced risk of developing pregnancy incuded hypertension (high blood pressure)
3. Fewer obstetric interventions (vacuum extraction, forceps)
4. Reduction in the “active stage” of labor ( the time from 4 cm to 10 cm dilation)
5. Research has suggested that the incidence of caesarean section may be lower in women who exercise during pregnancy
6. Increase in maternal well-being—you will have more energy and sleep more soundly
7. Increases sense of control over your pregnancy and your changing body
8. Improved self image
9. Quicker return to pre-pregnancy weight
10. Decreased incidence of loss of bladder control during pregnancy and postpartum
11. Reduction in bone density loss while breastfeeeding
